I am one who is of the persuasion that National Right to Life jumped much too quickly in endorsing a candidate. For me it was very refreshing to see that one of their state chapters broken ranks with the National organization for sending the message that it isnt' merely enough to pick a good candidate...The National organization should have chosen the "best" candidate and they would have, had they chosen to endorse Gov. Mike Huckabee.
Everyone should contact the organization known as "Care Net" which is the largest and most conservative organizations in the nation responding to the needs of unwed mothers providing ministry and enabling them to choose to birth their children as opposed to aborting them.

CareNet is the umbrella group for the greatest majority of Crisis Pregnacy Centers across the United States. An endorsement by Care Net would bring balance to the RTL's endorsement of Fred Thompson and be an enormous boost for Mike. There is certainly no reason why Care Net would not have a kindred spirit with the values and beliefs of Mike Huckabee. Those of you who would like to see good Judges appointed who will bring an end to abortion in America, let's jump on this and see if we can't persuade Care Net, an excellent organization to come along with us.

When you email Mrs. Streets, please feel free to mention that I referred you to the organization's attention since I have previously spoken with her. Actually, muliple contacts would have even greater impact for stating our intent.

My name is Diane Bekel and I am a moderator at hucksarmy.com. Michael Brown posted that he had spoken to you regarding NRTL's endorsement of Fred Thompson as the candidate who would best champion the cause.

I was also one of the people who contacted NRTL and expressed my amazement that Gov. Huckabee was not selected. What impresses me about Gov. Huckabee is his stance on the right to life beyond birth. As an educator, I see pregnant teenagers having the baby because they have learned that they have a living being inside, but they choose to keep the child, drop out of school, and just scrape by for most, if not all, of their life.

In the town I teach in, 20% of the citizens 25 years old and older do not have a high school diploma. The pregnancy numbers for the last five years ranged between 40 to 65 girls who tested positive each year at the local Family Planning Center--that's not counting the ones who were pregnant but who went elsewhere. At our high school, we have a 47% free and reduced lunch rate.

To many people, those numbers are unrelated. But they are signposts that blink *Generational Poverty*.

The children who are being born need a chance to break the cycle. Many of my female students will not abort, but they will sentence themselves to a life of un- or underemployment and their children to a live in poverty. We should do better by these girls and these children as they choose life.

Please consider endorsing Mike Huckabee, as I feel that he is the candidate who will help lead the country to begin to break this cycle.
